Destination time
Day

Daylight saving time changes offsets during the year. Check the offset that applies on your travel date — this calculator uses exactly the offsets you pick.

How it works

Destination time in minutes is home time minus the home offset, plus the destination offset (offsets are in hours, converted to minutes). If the result passes midnight it is the next day, and if it goes before midnight it is the previous day. Times are shown in 24-hour format.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I pick offsets instead of cities?

City offsets change with daylight saving time, so a fixed city list can be wrong half the year. Picking the offset for your actual date is more reliable.

What does UTC mean?

Coordinated Universal Time — the reference all time zones are measured from. UTC-6 is 6 hours behind UTC, UTC+1 is 1 hour ahead.
